Yonder Launches Election HQ as a ‘New Tool for New Times’ to Decipher Authentic vs. Manipulated Narratives Online During Election 2020

Tool to track election topics; answers who has influence and what is “real” for brands

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Yonder, an AI company uncovering hidden groups controlling and amplifying narratives online that impact brands, today launched Election HQ to provide marketers, journalists, and consumers with insight into who’s influencing the discussion around the U.S. presidential election and whether they are authentic or suspect.

“The election, pandemic, and social unrest have created a perfect storm for disinformation and agenda-driven conversations online and brands are often unintentionally caught in the mix,” said Yonder CEO Jonathon Morgan. “In today’s world, once it’s trending, it’s true. Brands that rely on lagging indicators and tools that overlook evolving misinformation tactics are at greater risk of reputation damage and losses, especially during the election season.”

The AI-powered Election HQ dashboard provides insight into where narratives surrounding the election are originating, the tactics used by online groups to amplify them, and how this then impacts the mainstream conversation. By providing data-backed intelligence, Yonder aims to equip brands and consumers with the tools needed to understand how authentic or manipulated an online conversation is and who’s really driving it. “We've been conditioned to focus on volume and likes as important metrics to gauge public opinion, but they simply don’t go deep enough to tell the full story,” explained Yonder CMO Lisa Roberts. “Understanding how online power groups organize and mobilize is key to understanding the way stories spread and take hold around everything from pandemics to protests.”

Yonder has also launched a new disinformation intelligence solution, leveraging AI to demystify coordinated online disinformation campaigns. The solution provides the insight needed to diagnose how ideas start and spread between communities across social channels and influence public opinion, allowing brands to better protect their integrity and perception. Many of the insights found on Election HQ are provided by the new disinformation intelligence solution.

To see the latest updates on the online conversations surrounding the election, please visit the Election HQ homepage at yonder-ai.com/election-2020. The dashboard will be regularly updated as the 2020 election progresses.
