POC’s Record Growth Expands Operations in 2020

TORRANCE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Physical Optics Corporation, an advanced science and technology company serving the military and defense industry, has announced the expansion of operations in Torrance, CA. Kevin Walter, Ph.D., POC’s President and CEO, anticipates another record year with 2020 revenue exceeding $126M. In keeping up with its growing business demands, Walter indicated the company is investing in both people and production facilities. Since the first of this year, POC has already added 51 new jobs and expanded its operating facilities to over 170,000 sq. ft.

Further, POC has recently relocated its headquarters to 20701 Manhattan Place, Torrance, CA 90501. In addition to expanding its production operations in three other nearby buildings, POC has opened supporting operations in Patuxent River, MD and Huntsville, AL. In recent years, POC has had significant success in providing innovative airborne products such as Data Transfer Systems, Mass Storage Systems and Mission Computer Networks for Navy, Marine, Air Force and Army platforms.
