Covenant Physician Partners Welcomes Dr. Laurie Sprung to Board of Directors

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Covenant Physician Partners (Covenant) today announced Laurie Sprung, PhD, MPH has joined the company as an Independent Director to the company’s Board of Directors effective July 1, 2020. In this capacity, Dr. Sprung will help guide the overall strategy of the company as it continues its growth trajectory into 2021 and beyond.

Laurie Sprung, PhD, MPH

Dr. Sprung is a sought-after healthcare consultant with a proven track record of strategy development, program leadership and corporate growth. She focuses on the areas of population health management, consumer strategy, patient access and experience as well as overall health system strategy. Prior to establishing her own consulting practice, Dr. Sprung served in roles of increasing responsibility, and ultimately as Executive Vice President of the Consulting Division, at Advisory Board in Washington, D.C., where she provided counsel to leading health organizations across the country. Under her leadership, the division was recognized by KLAS and Kennedy Consulting as a top industry consulting practice. Earlier in her career, she held positions at McKinsey & Co. as well as Harvard School of Public Health.

Dr. Sprung holds her Doctorate and Master of Clinical Psychology from Syracuse University; a Master of Public Health from Harvard University; and Bachelor degrees in History and Psychology from Cornell University. She completed her post-doctoral fellowship at McLean Hospital, a teaching hospital for Harvard Medical School, and is a licensed psychologist in Massachusetts.
