Olympic Steel Announces Promotion of Andrew F. Wolfort to Vice President of Specialty Metals

CLEVELAND--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Olympic Steel Inc. (Nasdaq: ZEUS), a leading national metals service center, today announced the promotion of Andrew F. Wolfort to the role of Vice President – Specialty Metals.

In this new role, Mr. Wolfort will report directly to Andy Markowitz, President – Specialty Metals, and continue to lead the teams at Olympic Steel’s Schaumburg, Illinois and Gary, Indiana facilities as well as the Berlin Metals business. Mr. Wolfort will also support the Streetsboro, Ohio and Latrobe, Pennsylvania locations that make up the Integrity Stainless business.

“We have a clear vision for the growth of our specialty metals business segment, and Andrew has been instrumental in developing and executing that strategy,” said Markowitz. “In this expanded role, he will continue to ensure the safe, profitable and collaborative growth of our specialty metals locations and commercial teams.”

Mr. Wolfort joined Olympic Steel in 2007 and has held roles of increasing commercial and leadership responsibility in several of the Company’s carbon and specialty metals processing facilities. Most recently, he led three of the organization’s specialty metals locations as Regional Vice President.

Mr. Wolfort earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and finance from the University of Colorado Boulder, Leeds School of Business. He is also a graduate of the Metals Service Center Institute’s (MSCI) Strategic Metals Management Program (SMMP) at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He served as President of the MSCI Central States Chapter from 2018-2019 and has been a Board member for the Chapter since 2015.
