Brad Erdman Named Vice President of Claims

LEXINGTON, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kentucky National Insurance Company, Lexington, KY, is pleased to announce the appointment of Brad Erdman as Vice President of Claims. Brad comes to Kentucky National with a distinguished, 26-year career in insurance, spanning both field and home office roles for one of the top performing, Fortune 100 companies in the financial and insurance industry. He led claims operations in the Midwest and Northeast, specializing in all forms of personal lines, as well as commercial liability, litigation, medical and call center management. A most-memorable experience: he was leader of northeast claims operations during and for two years following Super Storm Sandy. He’s spent the last five years as a Home Office staff director, responsible in a national capacity for complex cases, best claims practices, and technology advancement for casualty claims across the country.

Brad has a passion for giving back to his community. He currently serves on the Alumni Board of Directors at his alma mater, Albright College in Reading, PA, where he graduated in 1993 as a two-sport, varsity athlete. Since then, he’s also served on Boards for the American Red Cross of Delaware OH and Dauphin PA, along with numerous volunteer roles with Children’s Miracle Network, as well as coaching high school football and baseball for Tri-Valley High School in Hegins, PA and Gainesville High School in Gainesville, FL.

Brad believes strongly in commitment, teamwork, consistency, family values, and work-life balance. His wife, Kristen, is a Marshall University grad and successful leader in the pharmaceutical field. His son, Jared, works for the state of Pennsylvania as an IT professional; and his daughter, Kara Ann, is a 4.0 student, softball pitcher and defensive field hockey player. Including Brad’s two brothers and his wife’s two sisters, the Erdmans enjoy spending time with their extended family in West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
