SPARTANBURG, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Agape Care announced today it has appointed a chief development officer to accelerate its growth strategies.

Hospice Care of South Carolina acquired Agape Hospice in January 2020, and the combined organizations are coming together as one team under a new name – Agape Care. Covering all 46 counties in South Carolina, with 800+ employees and more than 1,400 patients, Agape Care is looking to invigorate their business development pipeline for future expansion.

Dan Beuerlein has been appointed to the executive leadership team as the chief development officer for Agape Care. In this position, Beuerlein will spearhead Agape Care’s business development initiatives for expansion to surrounding states.

“Dan is a seasoned mergers and acquistions professional and will be counted on to help us accelerate our growth strategy by executing on key acquisitions in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee,” said Troy Yarbrough, chief executive officer of Agape Care. “As we look forward to expanding the Agape Care platform throughout the Southeast Region, Dan’s advanced business acumen will be invaluable to our growth.”

Beuerlein brings over 17 years of experience in multi-state, multi-site healthcare verticals. His diverse skill set, derived from private equity-backed start-ups and large public/private companies, has driven his success as a business development and operations executive in a variety of roles.

Prior to joining Agape Care, Beuerlein served as the chief development officer at BlueSprig Pediatrics. In just two years at BlueSprig, Beuerlein helped the company grow from a start-up with a few clinics in Texas to one of the largest national providers of behavioral therapy for children with autism through a network of 110 clinics in 13 states.

In addition to his time at BlueSprig, Beuerlein also served as the chief development officer and executive vice president of operations at Vivere Health, a leading equity partner and fertility management company. Prior to BlueSprig and Vivere Health, Beuerlein spent time as the chief development officer at Springstone, Inc., and the regional vice president of operations for Symbion Healthcare.

Beuerlein earned a Bachelor of Science in engineering from Tennessee Technological University and an M.B.A. from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of this incredible team as we work together to increase our acquisition activity,” said Dan Beuerlein, chief development officer of Agape Care. “Coming together as one team, I believe Agape Care will become the leading hospice and palliative care provider in the Southeast Region.”
