WarnerMedia Promotes Whit Richardson

WarnerMedia Sales & International names Whit Richardson President, WarnerMedia Entertainment Networks, Latin America

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--WarnerMedia, a division of AT&T Inc., today announced that Whit Richardson will be promoted from President, Turner Latin America to President, WarnerMedia Entertainment Networks, Latin America, effective August 1, 2020. Richardson is based in Atlanta and will continue to report to Gerhard Zeiler, Chief Revenue Officer, WarnerMedia & President, WarnerMedia International Networks.

In his new role, Richardson will have executive oversight and responsibility for programming, advertising sales, distribution and operations for the WarnerMedia Entertainment Networks which include the basic Turner channels and Cinemax, as well as premium HBO and sports networks in the region. Richardson will share responsibility for the kids business in Latin America with Tom Ascheim who was recently named the President of Global Kids, Young Adults and Classics at Warner Bros.

Richardson was named President, Turner Latin America in 2017, after holding various regional senior leadership positions, including Executive Vice President of Distribution and General Manager of Turner Argentina. During his tenure at the company, Richardson has played a key role in the division’s most significant transactions and its strategic evolution into one of the region’s leading Intellectual Property Hubs, with award-wining original content and long-term soccer rights in three key South American markets commercialized under successful premium (Argentina and Chile) and superstation (Brazil) models.
