Smarsh Names Barry Allen CFO, Promotes Suzanne Rudnitzki to COO

PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Smarsh®, enabling organizations to manage the risk and uncover the value within their electronic communications, today announced the addition of Barry Allen as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and the promotion of Suzanne Rudnitzki to Chief Operating Officer (COO). Allen and Rudnitzki report directly to Smarsh CEO Brian Cramer.

“We’re excited to add a finance leader with Barry Allen’s extensive experience in high-growth enterprise software to the Smarsh executive team, and to expand the role of Suzanne Rudnitzki,” said Cramer. “Suzanne leads with energy and commitment to our core values, drives execution and has made a major impact on our organization as its Chief People Officer. These changes will increase the alignment and strengthen the functions that support our internal teams. Together, we will enrich the Smarsh customer and employee experience and drive our business forward.”

As CFO, Allen leads Smarsh finance and accounting operations. He previously served as the CFO of Jama Software, a product development software provider based in Portland. At Jama, he successfully led a business model shift from a traditional mid-market perpetual software licensing model to a scalable, high-growth, recurring-revenue SaaS licensing and platform company. Prior to joining Jama, Allen served at advertising and licensing company Corbis, where he held the positions of Chief Financial Officer, President and Chief Operating Officer.

Suzanne Rudnitzki joined Smarsh in 2018 as the company’s first Chief People Officer. In her new role, she leads the organization’s Legal and Information Security, Human Resources, Management Information Systems, Diversity and Inclusion, and Facilities teams.

Prior to joining Smarsh, Rudnitzki was the Chief Human Resources Officer and Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Telecare Corporation, a health services organization. In addition, she previously worked as a consultant for Xerox, facilitated international entrepreneurial leadership training for Procter & Gamble, and developed HR training curricula for clients including Nissan, General Motors, Herman Miller and Magna International.

Rudnitzki is the author of Not So Basic New Hire Orientation, and she has appeared as a keynote speaker for organizations such as Hospital Purchasing Services, High Point National Furniture Mart, and the Color Marketing Council.
