The Estée Lauder Companies Announces Brand Cluster Leadership Updates

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today, The Estée Lauder Companies (NYSE:EL) announced the formation of a third brand cluster, a significant evolution in enterprise structure that reflects The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC)’s continued commitment to strengthening brand leadership, and leverages the unique talents and proven track records of key leaders across the organization.

  • In recognition of her exceptional leadership across the Company and the prestige beauty industry, Jane Hertzmark Hudis has been promoted to Executive Group President. Throughout her outstanding career, she has made a significant impact driving brand-building expertise, spearheading the elevation of marketing and talent, and leading her portfolio of brands to achieve outstanding broad-based growth across categories, regions and channels. As Executive Group President, her portfolio of brands will include Estée Lauder, La Mer, Bobbi Brown, AERIN, Origins, Aveda, Bumble and bumble, Dr. Jart+ and Do The Right Thing. She will continue to report directly to Fabrizio Freda, President and Chief Executive Officer, The Estée Lauder Companies.
  • John Demsey, Executive Group President, will evolve his brand portfolio. He will continue to oversee M·A·C, Clinique, BECCA, Too Faced, Smashbox, GLAMGLOW and TOM FORD BEAUTY, and will be a key advisor to our new brand integration capability. He will also continue to lead our enterprise-wide Creative Organization, and will continue to report directly to Fabrizio Freda.
  • Stéphane de La Faverie has been promoted to Group President, The Estée Lauder Companies, while continuing in his role as Global Brand President, Estée Lauder and AERIN. This well-deserved promotion reflects Stéphane’s excellent track record of building and leading global brands, his deep expertise across categories and channels, and a keen understanding of local relevance. His successful leadership of Estée Lauder over the past four years is reflected in the brand’s tremendous global performance across demographics, regions and channels. As Group President, Stéphane’s new portfolio of brands will include Jo Malone London, Aramis and Designer Fragrances, Le Labo, Darphin, Lab Series, By Kilian, Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle, RODIN olio lusso and Prescriptives. He will report directly to Fabrizio Freda in his role as Group President, and will continue to report to Jane Hertzmark Hudis for his Global Brand President responsibilities for Estée Lauder and AERIN.
