Cloudbreak Health Integrates with Epic Software

LOS ANGELES & COLUMBUS, Ohio--()--Cloudbreak Health (“Cloudbreak”), an industry leading provider of unified telehealth and video medical interpretation, announced their recent integration with healthcare electronic medical record software Epic. Cloudbreak first developed the Epic integration of their high definition video medical interpretation platform, Martti, for the UC San Diego Health system. This integration is the latest pioneering launch for Cloudbreak’s comprehensive video interoperability platform and other major clients have implemented the solution.

“Unified telehealth is the future of telemedicine and interoperability is at its core,” said Jamey Edwards, CEO of Cloudbreak. “Our recent success with the Epic integrations for UCSD highlights that barriers between major healthcare software solutions in hospitals are breaking down and people are choosing platforms instead of point solutions that inhibit a hospital’s ability to support health equity.”

Cloudbreak’s healthcare provider customers can now seamlessly access Cloudbreak’s services, including secure, live remote interpretation in roughly 250 languages including ASL. That access saves time, energy and precious PPE by using digital consultation to minimize exposure risk for frontline healthcare teams. The integration with Epic is the deepest language services integration in the market to date.

Cloudbreak’s 1,200-plus customers, which include clinics, hospitals and healthcare systems, are encouraged to share if they have a need for live remote interpretation within other systems that they have in place. Cloudbreak’s interoperability features allow it to natively integrate with multiple WebRTC and SIP platforms including Vidyo, Polycom, Skype, Cisco, Zoom and now EPIC, among others.
