CloudBees Named a Leader for Continuous Delivery Release Automation by Independent Research Firm

Company achieves highest score in current offering category, recognized for offering a comprehensive, end-to-end platform

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CloudBees, Inc., the enterprise software delivery company, today announced it was named a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: Continuous Delivery and Release Automation, Q2 2020, by Forrester Research Inc. In the report, Forrester evaluated companies in the following categories: Current Offering, Strategy and Market Presence. CloudBees achieved the highest scores in the Current Offering and Strategy categories.

The report is designed to help infrastructure and operations (I&O) professionals make the right choice when looking for continuous delivery and release automation (CDRA) solutions for their development and operations (DevOps) automation. The report evaluates 14 vendors and includes research, analysis and scoring of them.

As noted in the report, in 2019 CloudBees acquired fellow CDRA application provider Electric Cloud. “Building on the two complementary set of capabilities, CloudBees has executed well on merging its products into an integrated platform that ranges from continuous integration and build management to release automation, with support for a number of platforms, from cloud native to on-premises to mainframe and mobile,” the report states. “Reference customers indicated that they like the platform’s breadth and noted that it’s very fully featured. Additionally, thanks to its marketplace and large list of out-of-the-box integrations, the platform is easily extensible. Functionally, customers noted superior pipeline visibility and ease of pipeline management.”

CloudBees CDRA capabilities are suited for both cloud native organizations and automation across large legacy environments, providing customers with easy extensibility and flexibility. CloudBees CD is a singular engine for both deployment automation and release orchestration, giving DevOps teams a complete view into their entire release process.

“We believe being named a Leader in Forrester’s report and achieving the highest score (tied) in the CDRA vision and value proposition criterion underscores CloudBees’ commitment and vision to market-leading innovation,” said senior vice president and general manager, Software Delivery Automation (SDA) Group, CloudBees. “CloudBees CD provides control and visibility into complex enterprise pipelines and releases – across any combination of monolithic, mainframe and microservice-based applications. We acquired Electric Cloud to add these powerful CD capabilities and to be able to support complex release orchestration use cases. Our focus remains on offering powerful, integrated applications and capabilities that provide an SDA backbone for enterprise developers. We know in the enterprise, developers and ops value freedom to choose the DevOps tools that help them attain flow and focus. Having a fundamentally sound SDA backbone that plugs into that DevOps toolchain instead of replacing it is critical.”
