byte Partners with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield to Provide Coverage through Ortho@Home Program

New network relationship benefits eligible plan holders, and gives exclusive pricing to Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield members without orthodontic benefits.

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--byte, the world’s fastest growing at home teeth aligner company, has announced that it is now a part of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield’s (Anthem) Dental Prime and Complete PPO network, giving members better access to orthodontic care through this innovative benefit.

Eligible Anthem plan members who cannot receive in-office treatment or do not want the hassle or expense of an in-office experience for straightening their teeth will now be able to do so remotely with byte invisible aligners for a significant savings with Anthem’s Ortho@Home program.

With this new network relationship, plan members will pay only their coinsurance up front, and byte will electronically bill their plan for the balance. Members no longer need to worry about filing for reimbursement when choosing byte invisible aligners. Even Anthem members without orthodontic coverage will benefit from exclusive pricing available to members.

Anthem dental plan members with orthodontic coverage can start the process today by visiting www.anthem.com and select “Find a Doctor” or Anthem’s Sydney App Find Care to determine network coverage. Eligible plan members can review their benefit information and any potential out-of-pocket expenses with either Anthem Member Services or byte customer care. Soon, they’ll be able to enter their dental plan details on the byte website for access to their plan information and benefits real-time.

This exclusive benefit gives qualified Anthem members access to:

  • An at-home impression kit
  • The exclusive HyperByte high frequency vibration device, which results in faster treatment times and reduces discomfort of aligner therapy ($699 value)
  • Retainer included at the end of treatment ($99 value)
  • A new smile in three months on average (half the average treatment time compared to other direct-to-consumer aligners)

byte’s all-domestic customer service is rated the highest in the industry, and all members receive the byte-for-life guarantee. If at any time after going through the byte treatment process, a member’s smile moves out of alignment, byte will help get it back for no additional cost.

For more information, visit www.anthem.com and select “Find a Doctor.” Anthem members can also visit the company’s Sydney Health mobile app and/or www.byteme.com.
