Assurant Closes the Sale of its Investment in Iké Asistencia

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Assurant, Inc. (NYSE:AIZ), a leading global provider of lifestyle and housing solutions that support, protect and connect major consumer purchases, today announced the closing of the sale of its investment in Iké Asistencia (Iké) and certain of its affiliates. Iké is a services assistance business with operations in Mexico and other countries in Latin America.

Following its successful acquisition and integration of The Warranty Group, Assurant decided to sell its interest in Iké to focus on its core lifestyle offerings in Latin America, centered around helping consumers protect their mobile devices, cars, electronics and appliances.
