CLEVELAND--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Athersys, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATHX) announced today that Gil Van Bokkelen, Chairman and CEO, will present a corporate overview at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch 2020 Virtual Healthcare Conference to investors and analysts. The presentation is scheduled for Thursday, May 14, 2020 at 8:20 a.m. EDT.

Dr. Van Bokkelen will provide a brief overview of the Company’s mission and its therapeutic platform, MultiStem^® cell therapy. The presentation will include information on the critical care indications in the Company’s progressing clinical pipeline, including the Phase 2/3 pivotal trial evaluating MultiStem cell therapy for the treatment of COVID-19 induced acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and its ongoing Phase 3 trial of MultiStem cell therapy for the treatment of ischemic stroke.
