PolarityTE Announces Data from Head-to-Head Burn Study Demonstrating Graft Take and Wound Closure with SkinTE Treatment

SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PolarityTE, Inc. (Nasdaq: PTE), a biotechnology company developing and commercializing regenerative tissue products and biomaterials, today announced that data from its Head-to-Head Burn trial was published in the Journal of Burn Care & Research. This abstract was accepted for a podium presentation at the American Burn Association Meeting, which was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Eight patients with deep-partial/full thickness burns had a portion of their wounds treated with SkinTE™, an autologous homologous skin construct (AHSC), and the remainder of their burn treated with split-thickness skin grafting. AHSC-treated wounds had graft take and achieved closure by their last follow-up with a single application. There were no AHSC treatment related adverse events. These encouraging data are being used to design a larger burn trial and the Company continues to work with several KOLs to finalize a study protocol.
