Northern Trust Announces Location Change for 2020 Annual Meeting of Stockholders

Meeting Will Be Held in Virtual-Only Format

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Northern Trust Corporation (Nasdaq: NTRS) announced today a change in location of its 2020 Annual Meeting of Stockholders, scheduled to take place on Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. Central Time. In light of recent public health concerns regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus), the Annual Meeting will be held solely by remote communication, in a virtual-only format.

As described in the proxy materials previously distributed in connection with the Annual Meeting, stockholders of record as of the close of business on February 24, 2020, are entitled to participate in the Annual Meeting. To be admitted to the Annual Meeting at www.virtualshareholdermeeting.com/NTRS2020, stockholders must enter the control number found on their proxy card, voting instruction form or notice related to the Annual Meeting. Once admitted, stockholders may submit questions and/or vote during the Annual Meeting by following the instructions that will be available on the meeting website. Parties who were not stockholders of record as of the close of business on February 24, 2020, may also view a webcast of the meeting by visiting www.virtualshareholdermeeting.com/NTRS2020, but may not submit questions and/or vote on matters considered at the Annual Meeting.
