Octo Wins Spot on USPTO Intelligent Automation Innovation Support Services (IAISS) Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA)

RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Octo today announced it has been awarded a spot on the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) Intelligent Automation Innovation Support Services (IAISS) blanket purchase agreement (BPA). Octo will provide piloting, testing, and implementation of intelligent automation/artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain/distributive ledger technology, microservices, machine learning, natural language processing, robotic process automation, and other emerging technologies designed to enhance mission delivery and business processes. The contract term covers five years and has a total value of $50 million.

The award follows Octo’s long-term plans to expand its AI offerings. “Octo has focused attention on emerging technologies for over a decade,” said Octo Executive Vice President Charlie McQuillan. “This opportunity allows us to bring the most current research and development to USPTO while continuing to support them with core services we’ve been providing since 2014.
