Gadget Guard now offers cellphone radiation protecting cases for most iPhone models

alara technology cases now available for iPhone 7, 8, X, XS and XR models to reduce exposure from RF radiation by up to 75%

NORTH SALT LAKE, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Starting today, Gadget Guard cases with alara technology are available for most iPhone models—iPhone 7, 8, X, XS and XR, in addition to the iPhone 11 models announced last year. The iPhone XR version is available for shipping today, with other models available for shipping over the next month. Customers can order all models at GadgetGuard.com.

The cases with alara technology reduce user exposure to radiofrequency (RF) radiation by up to 75% while still maintaining the phone’s signal quality.

Embedded within the Gadget Guard case are micro-thin antennas that automatically pair with your phone to dramatically reduce exposure to cell phone radiation. It does not shield or block RF, but redirects it away from the user, thereby maintaining the signal while protecting from radiation.

The new iPhone XR cases come in two versions. The slim version has a sleek profile that follows the contours of the phone, provides 4-foot drop protection and is easy to grip with a soft-touch feel. The rugged version delivers 10-foot drop protection. The new iPhone 7, 8, X, and XS cases are available in the slim version for pre-order.

In the past few months, Penumbra Brands has been testing cellphone radiation emitted by iPhones at an independent certified lab. These tests confirmed iPhone 7 radiation levels are more than 50% over the FCC safety standard, and the iPhone 11 Pro emits more than double the radiation than the FCC standard.

The tests also confirmed that the Gadget Guard with alara technology cases reduced radiation by as much as 75% in situations representing normal phone use.
