Kollective Completes SOC 2 Type II Report

BEND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kollective has announced that it has successfully completed the annual SOC 2 Type II Service Organization Control (SOC 2) certification. This certifies that the company’s leading software-defined enterprise content delivery products and services are in accordance with attestation standards established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

“Keeping our customers’ data safe and secure is our highest priority,” said Karen Castagnera, Kollective’s Senior Vice President of Operations. “Our mission is to help our customers stay connected to their employees and collaborate worldwide. This recent certification shows our ongoing commitment to protect our customer’s data so that they can focus on the important work in their businesses. We will continue to invest in first-class security and compliance.”

The SOC 2 report provides Kollective’s customers with assurance that the company has designed and implemented effective security controls that meet the independent standards defined in the SOC 2 report. These standards ensure the protection of clients’ data privacy and provide a guarantee that Kollective’s products and services ensure adequate collection, retention and use of personal information.

Security has always been a top priority for Kollective as evidenced by the successful completion of the rigorous SOC 2 certification every year since 2009. “Each year we review and update controls. The SOC 2 examination process takes several months to complete and it displays our commitment to providing our enterprise customers with an independent opinion of the Trust Services Criteria against our company’s internal controls and processes,” said Castagnera.

As Kollective continues to partner with Microsoft to scale live events in Teams, Stream and Yammer, it is worth noting that Microsoft and Microsoft Teams have also completed their SOC 2 certification https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/security-compliance-overview. Enterprises should ensure that any vendor they are using to scale their Teams live events should be SOC 2 certified.
