Daniel Goldberger Named New York Office Head

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP is pleased to announce that it has named litigation Partner Dan Goldberger as head of the Firm’s New York office effective January 1, 2020.

Mr. Goldberger succeeds Sandy Edelman as Office Head after previously serving as her deputy. “Dan was a natural choice for Office Head,” said Ms. Edelman, who also added, “Dan is a gifted lawyer, distinguishing himself from the very first day he started at the Firm. He is well liked by our colleagues and respected by our clients. He’ll be terrific in his new role.”

His representations include matters relating to banking, investment funds, unfair competition, intellectual property with a focus on trademarks, technology, bankruptcy and licensing. In addition, Mr. Goldberger regularly advises and litigates on behalf of clients involved in partnership, shareholder, LLC member, employment and other commercial disputes.

Mr. Goldberger is a member of Dorsey’s China practice, regularly representing Chinese banks in a wide range of matters. He also writes and speaks about matters concerning cybersecurity and data protection, and advises clients regarding cyber strategies, compliance programs, policies and procedures.

“I am pleased to welcome Dan as the new Head of our New York office and I would like to thank Sandy Edelman for serving as the interim Office Head,” noted Dorsey Managing Partner Bill Stoeri. “Our New York office continues to add key talent and Dan is well-positioned to lead the office’s continued success.”
