SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--XYO (Kucoin: $XYO), the geospatial cryptonetwork, today announced the opening of a new dedicated global shipping and fulfillment center dubbed “The Factory,” in Otay Mesa, near the parent company’s global HQ in downtown San Diego. The new location is nearly 7,000 square feet and houses a fast-growing flexible team of more than a dozen dedicated employees. Expansion to The Factory is the latest in the company’s strong growth and permanent, physical presence in multiple locations over the past year, and closely follows the 2018 opening of Carlsbad-based XY Labs.
From its beginnings in 2012, XY - The Persistent Company has grown from 17 full-time employees in early 2018 to the current 91. While the majority of employees are based at the San Diego headquarters, there is a Northern California-based team in Sacramento, the innovation-focused team located in Carlsbad, and now the Shipping and Fulfillment center in Otay Mesa. The rapid employee growth across departments aligns with the company’s balanced visionary and customer-centric approach and roadmap.
With the company’s aggressive growth driving the opening of the new location, and the now-dedicated space to work from, the Fulfillment team feels the change has led to better efficiency and organization. The Factory, a 6,820 square foot warehouse, allows the team to ship up to--and at times more than--2,000 Bridges, Sentinels and Geomining Kit orders to customers around the world daily.
