Providence St. Joseph Health Announces New Enterprise Population Health Company, Ayin Health Solutions

New company will provide expertise and services to organizations transitioning from costly in-patient care to cost-efficient, ambulatory care and digital engagement

RENTON, Wash.--()--Providence St. Joseph Health (PSJH), the nation’s third-largest non-profit health system, today announced the creation of Ayin Health Solutions (Ayin), a population health management company focused on helping organizations maintain stability in a shifting healthcare market. Ayin will equip payers, providers, employers and government entities with the expertise and services they need to reduce costs, improve care and keep pace with the healthcare industry’s transition to population health.

“These are tumultuous times for the healthcare industry and organizations are eager for proven strategies and solutions that will stabilize their business and guide their shift toward a new standard of care,” says Dr. Rhonda Medows, CEO of Ayin Health Solutions and president of Population Health at Providence St. Joseph Health. “We know that when health organizations are able to achieve clinical and financial success, they are better able to influence and care for the communities they serve.”

The formation of Ayin is a critical component of PSJH’s broader vision of health for a better world. This vision recognizes the current state of the healthcare industry and the need for modernization, revenue diversification and cost-efficient, total health care. Ayin will enable PSJH to achieve its bold vision by delivering solutions that will help other organizations improve clinical outcomes, simplify patient access to information, lower health care costs and meet payer and business requirements.

“With Ayin we have a tremendous opportunity to take our knowledge and value-based care proficiencies and extend that expertise to payers and organizations outside of the PSJH system,” said Medows. “We will leverage our leadership, day-to-day frontline expertise and heritage of service to deliver population health solutions and services that will deliver real impact.”

Ayin will offer its suite of population health capabilities to external payers, providers, employers and government entities, critical to delivering on the healthcare industry’s transition to population health. These capabilities include a Pharmacy Benefits Management service that partners pharmacists and physicians throughout the care continuum to better manage costs without compromising patient care; a proprietary risk evaluation tool and comprehensive reporting to help manage health care costs and improve patient outcomes; and an Employee Health Benefits service that tailors benefits programs to an organization’s needs, helping save costs, improve wellness and reduce absenteeism. Full details on all Ayin’s services and solutions are available on the Ayin website.
