NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BTIG, LLC announced today that the Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities division has added a Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities desk led by Weston Friedman. Mr. Friedman will be based in the firm’s New York office and will report into Drew Doscher and Darren Haines, Managing Directors and Co-Heads of Fixed Income Credit at BTIG.
Mr. Friedman joins BTIG as a Managing Director and Head of Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS). “Weston is a key hire as we expand our fixed income business into structured products. His experience on both the buy and sell side establishes a solid foundation for this team as we look to add more industry professionals to the desk,” said Anton LeRoy, Chief Operating Officer of BTIG.
Prior to BTIG, Mr. Friedman was Head of CMBS at Bay Crest Partners. Previously, he held a similar role at RBC Capital Markets. Earlier in his career, he was a member of the CMBS division at Brookfield Investment Management.
