Tower MSA Partners Dan Anders and Rita Wilson to Present in Two Sessions at NAMSAP

The NAMSAP 2018 Educational Conference: Charting the Course for Change will be held October 3-5

BALTIMORE--()--Tower MSA Partners’ Chief Compliance Officer Dan Anders and CEO Rita Wilson will speak at the National Alliance of Medicare Set Asides Professionals (NAMSAP) 2018 Educational Conference, October 3-5.

Anders, Leslie Schumacher, President at PlanPoint, LLC, and Chris Carpenter, President of Case Management Solutions, Inc., will discuss Capitol Bridge, the new Workers’ Compensation Review Contractor (WCRC), and provide their take on the latest trends in MSA reviews. “The recent, surprising inclusion of Lyrica in MSAs, increased scrutiny of $0 MSAs, and CMS’s response to long-term opioids in MSAs will be a few of the hot topics taken on by the panel,” said Anders. The WCRC Review session will start at 12:30 p.m. on October 4.

On Friday, October 5, starting at 9:45 a.m., Wilson and Fran Provenzano, president and CEO of Medicare Set-Aside Specialists, will present the Data Analytics session, moderated by Michelle Allan, a partner with Gordon & Rees. It will highlight findings of NCCI’s Research Brief, Medicare Set Asides and Workers’ Compensation – 2018 Update, and compare them to similar metrics that NAMSAP’s Data and Development Committee (DDC) monitors each month.

“NCCI’s study provides a comprehensive look at CMS’s performance through early 2018, laying a perfect foundation for a deep dive into the DDC’s comparative data analysis and a preview of future joint data capture opportunities,” Wilson said.

The NAMSAP 2018 Educational Conference: Charting the Course for Change will be held October 3-5 in Baltimore, Maryland. More information may be found at https://namsap.site-ym.com/page/2018AnnualConference.
