Aerohive® Starts Shipping A3 - Secure Access Management Solution

Aerohive A3 Secure Access Management Comprehensively Addresses IoT, Guest, Corporate, and BYOD Onboarding, Provisioning, and Control

MILPITAS, Calif.--()--Aerohive Networks™ (NYSE: HIVE), a Cloud Networking leader, today launched A3, a new vendor-agnostic Secure Access Management solution that introduces a comprehensive, yet simplified approach to IoT, BYOD, corporate, and guest device onboarding, provisioning, and access control requirements. Aerohive’s entrance in-to the Secure Access Management space is directly attributed to the need for streamlining the user experience and simplifying day-to-day operations, as well as enabling IT departments to address the unabated proliferation of connected devices that has effectively dissolved the traditional security perimeters of the access network. Today IT departments require solutions that can address all devices on the network, including wired and wireless IoT, BYOD, Guest and Corporate devices.

Aerohive A3 provides administrators with a highly effective toolset to manage devices through the onboarding, authentication, and access-control stages of the security lifecycle, and lets them take back control over the process thanks to streamlined workflows that significantly reduce the operational complexity and cost often associated with traditional Secure Access Management solutions.

A3 brings its streamlined user experience to a range of highly relevant use cases, including:

  • Sophisticated device profiling and automated onboarding for IoT devices currently deployed on the network or being added in the future
  • Comprehensive functionality required for onboarding Guest and BYOD devices, with a powerful captive web portal that provides a highly customizable and seamless user experience with tailored network access rights
  • Cost-effective and simplified management of Corporate clients with enterprise features, such as built-in 802.1X certificate deployment and Active Directory integration
  • Comprehensive network access control that ensures continued device compliance with automated enforcement and remediation, which further helps to reduce IT workload and simplify operations

While A3 provides complete functionality for Secure Access Management at a highly competitive price point, its feature set can be further extended by leveraging its seamless integration capability with most best-of-breed IT security solutions, including firewalls, MDM, Posture Assessment Systems, and Intrusion Detection/Intrusion Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS). This also ensures out-of-the-box compatibility with a customer’s existing security infrastructure.

“Every organization struggles with onboarding users and devices while maintaining network security and visibility. To do this properly requires an extensive feature set, simplified workflows and streamlined user experience. This has generally been a very costly proposition for users both in terms of time and money. I am very excited to see Aerohive deliver A3. A truly powerful, cost effective and intuitive secure access management solution that really provides a unique set of capabilities with a great roadmap to deliver even more value to our customers,” says Michael Knight, Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Technology Officer, Encore Technology Group. “We see a tremendous opportunity to combine A3, Aerohive’s API’s and Encore’s Enboard Platform (www.enboard.com) to enable a secure, automated and seamless solution for unified account and network access management for our customers.”

A3 is vendor agnostic, and compatible with networks from all major vendors, which significantly extends its market reach. However, when deployed with an Aerohive access network, it will, in a statement of direction, provide additional, differentiating capabilities like integrated management for Aerohive’s unique private pre-shared keys (PPSK) in Q3, as well as cloud-based and hybrid deployment options, in Q4.

A3 is available now and is competitively priced. Pricing consists of:
