Mobisante Introduces Unique, Affordable, Cloud-Connected Ultrasound Imaging Software

MobiUS™ PE enables physicians to use their personal tablets and computers for medical ultrasound imaging procedures, with access to secure cloud-based medical image management

REDMOND, Wash.--()--Mobisante, the pioneering innovator of mobile ultrasound software and systems, announces a software-only ultrasound platform for physicians and medical professionals that will be available for delivery December 1, 2014.

This groundbreaking platform greatly improves the affordability of ultrasound imaging by allowing providers to leverage their existing investments in computing platforms. Physicians can download the MobiUS PE software application directly onto any qualified Windows-based device and scan using USB probes provided by Mobisante.

Mobisante is also launching its new cloud-based image management service powered by UltraLinq. This service allows clinicians to securely store, review, edit and share ultrasound images acquired with a MobiUS PE or MobiUS TC2 system.

“We continue to look for ways to increase access to ultrasound to improve patient care and reduce cost of care. Our software-based solution takes advantage of rapid improvements in performance and reduction in costs of tablets, smartphones and other devices,” says Sailesh Chutani, CEO of Mobisante.

Mobisante’s release of this innovative software platform brings medical ultrasound imaging within reach of a broad range of providers who could not afford the more traditional expensive and complicated ultrasound systems. By providing an integrated image management solution with the device, it reduces the expense and complexity of acquiring a dedicated PACS to store ultrasound images.

Chutani says, “General practitioners can now extend their care and perform basic imaging procedures at the point of service, thus reducing the need for unnecessary referrals.”
