Mintz Levin’s Paul D. Wilson Appointed Justice of Massachusetts Superior Court

BOSTON--()--Paul D. Wilson, a Member of the Litigation Section of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., has been appointed by Governor Deval Patrick to serve as a Justice in Massachusetts Superior Court. Mr. Wilson has now been confirmed by the Governor’s Council.

An accomplished and broadly-experienced litigator, Mr. Wilson has recently specialized in civil litigation in the real estate industry. In addition, he is an experienced and successful appellate lawyer. Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly recently listed a Supreme Judicial Court case, in which Mr. Wilson successfully expressed the position of state housing agencies about the breadth of their authority, among the ten most important decisions of the year on any subject by any court in the state.

Mr. Wilson served for several years on the governing body of the American Bar Association's Section of State and Local Government Law. He has also served that ABA Section as its Director of Continuing Legal Education, and currently is its Land Use chair and a member of its Nominating Committee.

Mr. Wilson is an honors graduate of both Princeton University and New York University Law School, where he was named to the Order of the Coif and served as an editor of the Annual Survey of American Law.

He will be assuming the bench in Suffolk Superior Court in September.
