AVENTURA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Luca Bella, a new family-style Italian restaurant, will be opening its doors in mid September. Located in Concorde Plaza in the former Chef Allen space just off US 1, the restaurant will feature indoor and outdoor dining, a full bar and extensive wine list. They will be accepting reservations beginning September 12.

Maltese, previous owner of Matteo’s Italian Restaurant in Hallandale, has over 10 years industry experience. Born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Cedarhurst, Long Island, Maltese has spent the last six years in south Florida with his wife and two children. His family history stems from Naples, Italy.
The renovations, which are near completion, will feature a 20 person bar, comfortable furnishings, dimmed lighting, and a blend of soft caramel colors, accented with a few bright fabrics to create a modern twist to an authentic Italian eatery. The tables will be draped in a rich cream color with chocolate linen napkins. Luca Bella’s name, inspired by Maltese’s two children, Marcelo Luca and Isabella, will feature walls accented with baby pictures, as well as a see-through kitchen and a stunningly beautiful mocha polished concrete floor.
Noted for his family-style portions of popular Italian-American comfort foods, Maltese will feature a variety of classic appetizers like clams casino and fried zucchini, savory soups like pasta fagioli and crisp salads, like their Italian chopped salad with imported salami and provolone. The menu will also offer numerous pasta dishes, baked Italian specialties like Mascarpone meat lasagna that will take center stage, plus a host of veal, pork, chicken and seafood entrees.
Chef Luciana Crosa, a graduate of the Culinary institute and Florida native, who shares Maltese’s vision, will be working alongside her mother, sister and brother, making it a true family inspired restaurant.
Anticipating an incredible debut, Luca Bella is located on the north side of Loehmann’s Fashion Island. They will be open daily from 5:00-11 p.m. weekdays, 5:00 to midnight on Friday and Saturday and 4:00-10 p.m. Sundays.
