SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Citrix Synergy 2011, demo pod 1--BlueStacks emerged from stealth mode today (see separate release) to announce it is working with Citrix to provide a comprehensive solution for enterprises developing Android applications. Featured by Citrix CEO Mark Templeton in his keynote today at Citrix Synergy, BlueStacks will allow users to seamlessly run Android applications on their x86-based Windows devices, while giving PC manufacturers the chance to align with the growing consumer demand for Android-based mobile enterprise applications. Combined with BlueStacks, Citrix Receiver serves as the connection for users to access the AppStore for the enterprise. BlueStacks is a Receiver plug-in, enabling self-service and push functionality for Android applications.
The proliferation of devices entering the workplace creates new requirements for the enterprise. Employees want fast, simple and on-demand access to corporate resources from any device that they choose—whether a PC, Mac , laptop, netbook, tablet or smartphone. IT, however, needs a secure and scalable infrastructure that can manage the variety of user devices.
