PreEmptive Solutions Reports Strong Early Adoption of Its Mobile Analytics and Code Obfuscation Solution for Windows Phone 7

Runtime Intelligence for Windows Phone Installed by More than 1,000 Global Developers Within Weeks of Release; Over 200 Mobile Apps Already Streaming Analytics

CLEVELAND--()--PreEmptive Solutions (, a leading provider of solutions to measure, manage, and protect applications, announced today that its Runtime Intelligence for Windows Phone ( has experienced strong adoption since its official launch on November 29, 2010 – with over 1,300 downloads by more than 800 unique global users from nearly 40 countries. In just the past 72 hours, 16 percent of these organizations streamed analytics from over 220 applications for improved software quality and increased adoption, while thousands more are protecting embedded Intellectual Property with obfuscation.

According to a new International Data Corporation (IDC) forecast,* the number of downloaded mobile apps is expected to increase from 10.9 billion worldwide in 2010 to 76.9 billion in 2014. Worldwide mobile apps revenues will experience similar growth, surpassing $35 billion in 2014.

In a survey by PreEmptive Solutions targeting the first 300 Windows Phone 7 developers taken one week after they had installed the software, 89.8% of respondents indicated that Runtime Intelligence for Windows Phone either “set the Windows Phone 7 platform apart from all other mobile platforms” or added “significant value.” Representative comments submitted by survey respondents included: “It gives me insight into what is happening with my apps and which ones are more popular so I can focus my efforts there,” and, “The detailed feature reporting and the ease at which it can be implemented is extremely useful for gaining insight into how an application is used in the wild. Early results for my current marketplace application have been surprising.”
