EoS Fitness Celebrates Record $250,000 Fundraising Milestone for Challenged Athletes Foundation at Sold-Out Tour de Cove

EoS Community Rallies for Challenged Athletes and Marks Six Years of Partnership with CAF

DALLAS & SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--EoS Fitness, the High Value. Low Price.® (HVLP) gym chain, turned a sold-out Tour de Cove into a $250,000 fundraising milestone for its premier charitable partner, the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF). The funds support the nonprofit organization that empowers individuals with physical disabilities to pursue active lifestyles and competitive sports by eliminating the barriers to fitness.

“The EoS community brought incredible energy and generosity to this year’s Tour de Cove,” said Shilpi Sullivan, chief marketing officer of EoS Fitness. “I’m so proud that, for the first time, Tour de Cove sold out, with more than 160 riders pedaling for nearly five hours. Together, we doubled last year’s fundraising total and raised a record $250,000 for CAF athletes. That achievement belongs to our entire community of team members, members, riders and supporters who rallied around a shared purpose. Helping people at every fitness level and stage of life own their health and well-being is core to who we are at EoS, and our partnership with CAF brings that purpose to life outside our gyms.”

From Tour de Cove to year-round giving, the EoS community turns its passion for fitness into support for CAF athletes. Together, these efforts bring EoS’ commitment to inclusive, accessible fitness to life:

  • EoS Fitness Tour de Cove: Through its multiyear partnership with CAF, EoS is the title sponsor of Tour de Cove, part of CAF’s San Diego Triathlon Challenge Weekend. This year’s Viking Voyage-themed event brought together more than 160 participants who pedaled in costume to raise money and empower athletes with physical disabilities. The 4.5-hour stationary cyclethon, led by EoS group fitness instructors, saw the EoS community ride side by side with CAF athletes for the cause. The event culminated in a check presentation by EoS Chief Executive Officer Rich Drengberg, Chief Financial Officer Katie Anderson, Chief Operating Officer Richard Idgar, Chief Marketing Officer Shilpi Sullivan and Executive Vice President of Group Fitness Joella Hopkins.
  • New Luna Grill Menu Item Benefiting CAF: Recently, EoS teamed up with Luna Grill to launch the Fuel Forward Bowl, a protein-packed menu item available through the Club Luna app at Luna Grill locations across Arizona, California and Texas. For every bowl sold, Luna Grill donates $1 to CAF, so every bite fuels the mission.
  • Nationwide Spooky Spin and Freaky Dance Party Events: EoS raised nearly $32,000 for CAF through Halloween-themed Spooky Spin and Freaky Dance Party events. The events were held Oct. 3 at select locations across Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, Texas and Utah. Every ticket benefited CAF.
  • EoS Grant for KD Hill: EoS executives also surprised CAF athlete KD Hill with a $2,500 grant to support his continued participation in sports and help cover expenses as he pursues his athletic goals. Hill lost part of his leg in a car accident, and the grant gives him the resources to keep chasing his athletic goals and show the world what’s possible as an adaptive athlete.
  • Year-Round Giving Opportunities: EoS made it even easier for members to contribute to the CAF cause by creating a year-round giving model in which members can make contributions in the gym or choose to support by purchasing a co-branded T-shirt. With 100% of proceeds going to CAF, nearly $95,000 has been raised year to date from donations and T-shirt sales alone, demonstrating the EoS community’s pride in supporting the CAF cause.
  • Complimentary Will Power Gym Memberships for CAF Athletes: EoS currently sponsors nearly 500 complimentary Will Power gym memberships to eligible CAF athletes with physical disabilities across the United States. As part of the EoS CAF grant program, CAF athletes can enjoy premium amenities, including indoor lap pools, cardio theaters, turf functional training areas, innovative recovery options and the latest group fitness classes. Collectively, these efforts supercharge a longstanding partnership through which EoS has contributed more than $800,000 to support CAF athletes over the past several years, helping cover the cost of adaptive equipment, training programs and competition expenses.

“Our partnership with EoS Fitness is about so much more than one event. It’s about creating opportunities for athletes with physical disabilities to access the equipment, training and community they need to pursue their goals,” said Kristine Entwistle, chief executive director of Challenged Athletes Foundation. “From the incredible support at Tour de Cove to year-round fitness memberships and fundraising initiatives, EoS continues to demonstrate what it means to turn a shared commitment to inclusion into meaningful impact. We’re grateful for the entire EoS community and the difference they’re making for CAF athletes.”
