MARA Forensics Debuts Targeted Pro: Remote Mobile Collection That Takes Only What the Matter Needs
The legal team sets the scope, the custodian confirms the specific conversations on their own computer, and nothing else leaves the phone.
RAMSEY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Custodians do not want their entire phone imaged, with every photo, health record and private conversation swept into a legal matter. Yet the relevant evidence is often a few conversations, and collecting it has usually meant imaging the whole device.
Targeted Pro from MARA Forensics closes that gap. The legal team sets the date range and data types. The custodian then confirms the relevant conversations on their own computer, and only those, plus any other categories the legal team requested, are delivered. Nothing else from the phone is sent. Targeted Pro is available now on Windows for iPhone and Android custodians, with Mac coming soon.
Targeted Pro ships with MARA’s patent-pending remote mobile evidence collection platform for law firms, corporate investigation teams and forensic and eDiscovery service providers. Invited from the MARA portal, the custodian downloads the MARA app for Windows or Mac, connects their phone and follows guided steps, with no kit, no shipping and no site visit. The custodian cannot widen the scope the legal team set.
MARA also collects Signal messages remotely from the custodian’s own computer, limited to the conversations and dates the legal team set. Every upload is checked against its SHA-256 hash and comes with a Collection and Delivery Report, and collections go to MARA’s encrypted storage or the client’s own Amazon S3 or Azure Blob Storage.
“Nobody wants to hand over their whole phone, and most matters never needed it in the first place,” said Jeremy Horowitz, founder of MARA Forensics. “Targeted Pro lets the legal team draw the lines and lets the custodian see exactly which conversations leave before they do.”
