McGraw Hill Opens Nominations for 2027 Pathfinder Award

Fifth annual award broadens eligibility to honor innovation among both educators and administrators

COLUMBUS, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--McGraw Hill, Inc., a leading global provider of education solutions for preK-12, higher education and professional learning, is now accepting nominations for the 2027 McGraw Hill Pathfinder Award.

Now in its fifth year, the award recognizes education professionals who break new ground, challenge traditional approaches and use inventive strategies to improve student engagement, performance and motivation. Three winners are selected each year, each receiving a $5,000 prize and national recognition for their work and impact.

For the first time, nominations for the national award program are open to both educators and administrators whose innovative work helps learners succeed. Expanding eligibility to administrators recognizes their role in helping promising ideas grow beyond individual classrooms and reach more learners across schools and communities.

“The role of the educator has never been more important,” said Philip Moyer, CEO of McGraw Hill. “In classrooms across the country, teachers are opening new possibilities for students and preparing them to thrive in a changing world. The Pathfinder Award celebrates the innovation behind that extraordinary work, and this year, we’re proud to extend that recognition to administrators as well.”

Since the award was founded in 2022, Pathfinder winners have been recognized for advancing immersive and hands-on learning, applying emerging technology thoughtfully, expanding learning opportunities beyond traditional classroom settings and more.

Nominating an educator or administrator

Educators and administrators may nominate themselves or be nominated by an education professional, student, family member or friend. Each nomination must include a brief explanation of how the nominee has demonstrated innovation and inventiveness in education and meet other eligibility criteria. An optional video or photo may be included to illustrate the nominee’s impact.

Nominations opened November 4, 2026, and will be accepted through 11:59 p.m. ET on February 12, 2027. Winners will be announced in early May 2027. For more information or to submit a nomination, visit mheducation.com/pathfinder-awards.
