Ent Named a Winner of the 2026–27 Fortune Cyber 60

Recognition places Ent among 60 venture-backed cybersecurity companies selected by Lightspeed, AWS, and Fortune

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ent, the AI endpoint security company, today announced that it has been named a winner of the 2026–27 Fortune Cyber 60. Presented by Lightspeed Venture Partners and Amazon Web Services (AWS) in partnership with Fortune, the annual list recognizes 60 of the most important venture-backed cybersecurity companies.

The accompanying Lightspeed Cyber60 Survey found that AI agents are already in production at 77% of surveyed companies. Yet among companies using or exploring agents, only 20% report having a complete inventory. Confidence in teams’ ability to assess and mitigate AI-specific risks also fell from 71% last year to 55%.

As AI agents gain access to applications, data, scripts, tools, and credentials, individual actions can appear legitimate even when the sequence creates risk. Ent runs AI on the endpoint to understand human and agent activity with the intent behind it, then control execution before risky or malicious activity becomes an incident.

“Being named to the Fortune Cyber 60 is meaningful recognition of the problem we set out to solve,” said Lou Manousos, co-founder and CEO of Ent. “AI is changing who acts on the endpoint and how quickly those actions unfold. Ent gives security teams the context to understand what people and agents are trying to accomplish and the control to stop risky or malicious activity before it causes harm.”

Now in its fourth year, the Fortune Cyber 60 includes 20 companies in each of three categories: early stage, early growth, and growth. Lightspeed evaluated more than 300 cybersecurity startups based on annual recurring revenue, current- and prior-year growth, and business operations. The selection process also included proprietary research, consultation with Lightspeed’s CISO network, and analysis of the cybersecurity market. Fortune reviewed and validated the final list.

Ent’s rapid growth in 2026 since emerging from stealth in June is a testament to the company’s ability to meet rising demand for prevention-first security. In addition to recognition by the Cyber 60, Ent is currently a finalist in the 2026 Prove IT Pitch Competition hosted by CyberRisk Alliance and judged by CISOs to identify emerging cybersecurity companies that meet the operational needs of today’s organizations. Ent was also a 2026 CyberSecurity Breakthrough Award winner for “Endpoint Security Innovation of the Year,” and recently appointed Kevin Arsenault chief revenue officer to scale revenue and expand adoption among large enterprises.
