SnapInspect Adds AI Inspections, AI Work Orders and AI Workflows to Its AI Property Inspection Software

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SnapInspect is adding three new AI features to its AI property inspection software: AI Inspections, where an inspector walks the property, talks through it, and takes photos while the AI fills in the checklist; AI Work Orders, where a deficiency spoken out loud becomes a work order; and AI Workflows, where a plain-English instruction becomes an automation that runs whenever a chosen event happens.

Property teams are adopting AI faster than they are governing it. In a 2026 survey of 3,662 U.S. property managers by IREM and AppFolio, 58% said they use AI, up from 21% in 2023, and 78% of those users use it daily or almost every day. Only 8% said their organization has a written AI policy, and 26% have received formal AI training.

SnapInspect built all three features around one rule: the AI does the typing, and people stay in charge.

AI Inspections: Walk, Talk, Photograph

In the SnapInspect mobile app on iPhone or Android, the "New Inspection" prompt now includes an AI option. The inspector describes each area out loud and takes photos. After signing and finishing, the recording and photos upload in the background, and the AI matches each photo to its checklist item and fills in the checklist. Completed AI inspections carry an AI badge.

Offline recordings upload when a connection returns. If the AI cannot make sense of part of a walkthrough, the inspection can end up partially completed and the inspector fills in the gaps.

AI Work Orders: Just Say the Deficiency

During an AI Inspection, the inspector simply verbalizes the deficiency and a work order is created. On site, teams can also snap a photo: the AI identifies what is wrong, puts it in the right category, and turns it into a clear work order with notes and details, ready to route to the right person based on property profiles.

AI Workflows: Describe It, It Runs

Customers describe an automation in everyday language, such as "when a new inspection is created, set up a follow-up task," and the AI turns it into a workflow that runs each time. Users set it up in Company Settings, starting from a ready-made template or testing on a recent record first.

Workflows can start on inspection, task, contact, or new-user events, on a schedule, or manually. They can create and update inspections, tasks, and assets, send emails and inspection requests, and start other workflows.

Control Is Built In

When a workflow is saved, the AI checks the instructions and shows a diagram of what it plans to do; if they do not make sense, the workflow is switched off automatically. Every run is recorded in a workflow log. Only Company Manager users can set up workflows, and built-in limits stop a workflow from starting itself or starting others more than five levels deep.

These controls do not replace an organization's own AI policy, which is the customer's decision. They make what the AI does easy to see and check.

AI Inspections and AI Workflows are switched on company by company by SnapInspect. Customers who want them enabled can contact SnapInspect or book a demo.
