Anaconda Joins Open Secure AI Alliance to Help Establish Industry Standard for Secure AI-Native Development

Anaconda will collaborate with security leaders across industry, research, and government to shape standards for securing AI agents and software supply chains

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Anaconda, the trusted foundation for AI-native development, today announced it has joined the Open Secure AI Alliance. The Alliance, founded by NVIDIA and led by the Linux Foundation, brings the private sector, researchers, and government partners together to develop and share open tools, industry standards, and techniques that enable secure AI-native development.

AI agents now act across enterprise systems, calling tools, connecting to MCP servers, changing records, and sending messages. The risk has shifted from what a model says to what an agent does, making AI safety a priority for leaders. As enterprises move toward trillion-token scale, business leaders count on agents to make their teams faster and more competitive, while security leaders need to ensure that every action those agents take is safe and acting within policy. Anaconda acquired Enkrypt AI in August 2026 to resolve this tension, adding a security, governance, and compliance layer across the full agent stack, from models to MCP servers to autonomous agents.

As a member of the Open Secure AI Alliance, Anaconda intends to work with fellow participants on open approaches to three enterprise security priorities:

  • Testing agents across their full chain of decisions. Most tests check one step at a time: one prompt, one response, one tool call. The hardest failures unfold across several steps, when a retrieved document shifts an agent’s plan and the plan triggers an action no one intended. Shared evaluation methods and red-teaming techniques help defenders test agents the way attackers target them.
  • Securing the tools and MCP servers agents connect to. Teams connect agents to MCP servers faster than security teams review them. Common approaches to scanning, vetting, and gating agent tools give enterprises a consistent standard for what an agent is allowed to reach. Anaconda brings the discipline it applies to open source packages to this new layer of the AI software supply chain.
  • Turning AI policy into evidence. Enterprises need proof their AI rules hold in production. In 80% of agent incidents documented in Enkrypt AI’s Agent Incident Registry, the public record does not show whether any security control was in place or worked. Shared ways to record agent decisions and report incidents help security and compliance teams verify which controls ran and whether they held.

"Enterprises are under pressure to build at the speed of the market, but every model, tool, and MCP server an AI agent touches expands their attack surface. Organizations are seeking out guidance on how to maintain safety within the constantly evolving landscape of AI-powered threats," said Sahil Agarwal, Field AI Security Fellow at Anaconda. "Anaconda is building security, governance, and compliance into the foundation of AI-native development. We look forward to expanding our partnership with NVIDIA, and collaborating with some of the most forward-thinking security leaders in the industry to ensure AI innovation scales securely, without slowing builders down."

For more than a decade, Anaconda has made open source safe for enterprises to use. With Enkrypt AI, Anaconda now brings the same protection to the AI agents enterprises build. Learn more about the Open Secure AI Alliance and visit our website.
