Beverage manufacturers and warehouse distributors continue to face mounting pressure from rising operational costs, SKU proliferation, and increasing retailer demands for store-ready pallets. These challenges become even more difficult when handling specialty beverage products, particularly shrink-wrapped multipacks that are often hard for traditional robotic palletizers to grip and stack reliably. Curved containers, flexible shrink wrap, narrow bottle caps, and shifting contents create unstable handling conditions that often exceed the capabilities of conventional suction-based systems. At PACK EXPO, Mujin will demonstrate how its palletizing solution featuring the Mantis Gripper addresses these challenges through a unique four-sided gripping approach that mechanically supports beverage multipacks without relying on top suction. By stabilizing loads from multiple sides, the gripper accommodates difficult packaging formats including plastic-wrapped bundles, open-top cases, heavy two-liter beverage cases, and other specialty beverage products. This application has been successfully deployed in several convenience- format grocery chains

Powering the demo cell is MujinOS, Mujin's orchestration platform, which maintains a live model of robots, products, pallets, and connected equipment in its real-time digital twin. The software continuously optimizes palletizing operations, enabling rapid adaptation to changing SKUs and production requirements. New SKUs can be ingested in minutes, with no engineer needed.

Mujin will also highlight MujinPack powered by MujinOS an intelligent pallet-building application that evaluates product geometry, weight, fragility, support surfaces, tipping risk, and gripper accessibility before generating pallet patterns. This allows manufacturers to build denser, more stable pallets while ensuring each layer is properly supported and suitable for downstream transportation and distribution. This denser build can cut the total number of pallets shipped by 15 to 20 percent.
