Nidec Announces Receipt of an Investigation Report from the Executive Responsibility Investigation Committee

KYOTO, Japan--(BUSINESS WIRE)--As announced in the press release, “Notice Regarding the Establishment of the Executive Responsibility Investigation Committee,” dated March 13, 2026, Nidec Corporation (TOKYO: 6594; OTC US: NJDCY) (“Nidec” or the “Company”) launched an Executive Responsibility Investigation Committee (the “Committee”) to investigate and examine whether current and former directors, auditors, and vice presidents bear legal liability, including whether they breached their duties in the execution of their responsibilities, regarding the instances of improper accounting within our group.

Today, Nidec received an investigation report (the “Report”) from the Committee. The Company will disclose the Report promptly after redacting part of it to, among other reasons, protect the trade secrets of our group and business partners and individual privacy.

Based on the aforementioned Report, the Company will deliberate legal actions such as lodging a claim for damages, and promptly disclose them as soon as they are decided. In addition, the Company will hold a meeting of the Board of Directors and a meeting of the Audit and Supervisory Committee today to listen to the Executive Responsibility Investigation Committee’s explanation on its Report, and disclose actions for Nidec to take for the time being.
