ISG Event to Focus on Enterprise Transformations that Deliver AI Success
Leaders from AstraZeneca, Humane Intelligence, University of Michigan, New York Life, Optum, Beebe Healthcare, HelloFresh and Peloton to join ISG AI Impact Summit New York
STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Enterprises are adopting AI faster than they are realizing measurable business value from it, as new research from Information Services Group (ISG) (Nasdaq: III), a global AI-centered technology research and advisory firm, finds that operational gains in AI have yet to consistently translate into revenue, profit and other business outcomes.
How enterprises can build the operating models, governance, economics and technology foundations needed to scale AI will be explored by enterprise leaders and AI experts at the ISG AI Impact Summit, October 28–29 at 320 Park Avenue in New York.

How enterprises can close that AI value gap and build the operating models, governance, economics and technology foundations needed to scale AI will be explored by leaders from AstraZeneca, Humane Intelligence, University of Michigan, New York Life Insurance, UnitedHealth Group-Optum, Beebe Healthcare, HelloFresh, Peloton Interactive, HDI Global and more at the 2026 ISG AI Impact Summit New York, October 28–29 at 320 Park Avenue in New York City.
“ISG research finds AI performing above expectations in functionality and adoption but falling short on business outcomes,” said Shafqat Azim, partner, ISG, and host of the ISG AI Impact Summit New York. “Turning AI investment into sustainable business value requires more than successful pilots. To move AI from isolated experimentation into daily workflows, organizations need to rethink their operating models, accountability, economics and technology foundations.”
Jason Mars, University of Michigan professor, president of Jaseci Labs and co-founder of Myca.ai, will open the event with a keynote address on the “Infrastructure Bottleneck: Why AI Will be Won at the Systems Level,” examining how rethinking system design can unlock performance, efficiency and scalability in ways traditional architectures cannot.
Jorge Reis-Filho, chief of AI for Science Innovation, AstraZeneca, will follow with a keynote presentation on “The Execution Decade: Turning AI Ambition into Enterprise Advantage,” on why execution discipline, organizational practices and enterprise-wide operationalization are the new competitive advantages.
The “Proving the Return: Closing the Gap Between AI Spend and Business Value” panel discussion will include Anantha Ramakrishnan, senior director, Optum Advisory, UHG-Optum, and Srinivas Mudireddy, corporate vice president, New York Life Insurance, discussing how to balance innovation ambitions with financial discipline, prioritization and sustainable business outcomes.
As AI moves deeper into enterprise workflows, the summit will explore issues of governance and accountability required when people and intelligent systems share responsibility for work and decisions.
“ISG research finds fully autonomous work is expected to nearly double by the end of 2027, from 6.8 percent to 13 percent,” Azim said. “As AI takes on more work, people will increasingly manage context, exceptions and outcomes. Enterprises need operating models that make accountability clear while allowing AI to create value at scale.”
Corey Bucher, vice president, AI Enablement & Workforce Transformation, Beebe Healthcare, and Fred Tanzella, CIO advisor, Agentic AI, Kyndryl, will join the “Who Governs the Agents? Accountability When AI Acts on Its Own” panel discussion, examining how to define accountability when humans and AI share decision-making and what governance structures enable innovation while managing risk.
Day one will conclude with the ISG Startup Challenge, with Anatoliy Kochnev, co-founder of security compliance software company Kanonik; Cassio Melo, co-founder and CTO of AI compliance system Meilynx, and Eli Portnoy, CEO of customer knowledge solution BackEngine. Judges will question the challengers, and the live audience will vote for the solution they are most likely to implement in their own organizations.
Rumman Chowdhury, former U.S. Science Envoy for AI and CEO, Humane Intelligence, will open day two of the event with “Who Governs the Machine? AI, Risk and the Future of the Enterprise,” on the growing strategic importance of AI governance and how responsible AI frameworks can provide transparency, fairness and control at enterprise scale.
The changing economics of AI will be explored in “AI Didn’t Just Reduce Costs – It Broke the Enterprise Cost Model.” Justin Gress, chief operating officer, HDI Global, will discuss how organizations are redesigning operating models, workforce structures and service delivery to create entirely new forms of enterprise leverage and economic advantage.
Tom Cochran, advisor and former technology leader with the White House, U.S. State Department and The Atlantic, will deliver the “AI Is About People” keynote presentation on how leaders can determine whether workforce AI behaviors are worth scaling or pose unacceptable risks, and how guardrails and organizational learning can support responsible adoption without slowing innovation.
The data contextualization, integration, trust, auditability and explainability required for autonomous decision-making will be the topic of the “Production-Ready Data: Bridging the Gap Between Insight and Action” panel discussion, with Ipshita Chakraborty, director, Data Science & Applied AI, HelloFresh, and Sabrykrishnan Loganathan, senior director, AI Engineering, Peloton Interactive.
Other sessions at the ISG AI Impact Summit New York will examine how enterprises can redesign operating models as intelligence becomes an operating layer; why functioning AI systems still fail to produce expected ROI; how to build effective human-AI workforce models; how FinOps must evolve to manage AI alongside the broader technology estate; how enterprises should approach build-versus-buy decisions, and how organizations can build security into enterprise AI by design.
The ISG AI Impact Summit New York is sponsored by Wipro Limited, Stefanini Group, Kyndryl, NTT DATA, Compucom, Linc AI, Mechanical Orchard, Myota, Accenture, Daily AI Brief, AllConfsBot, the TBM Council and TechInsyte.
