Movement Mortgage Adopts VantageScore 4.0, Accelerating Industry Shift Toward Modern Credit Scoring

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Movement Mortgage, one of the nation’s leading mortgage lenders, is now implementing VantageScore 4.0 credit scores for eligible homebuyers. The adoption of VantageScore 4.0 marks another significant milestone in the mortgage industry's rapid transition to the most advanced credit scoring model available today.

“Movement Mortgage's adoption of VantageScore 4.0 is further proof that the mortgage industry has long been ready to enter a new era of credit scoring innovation,” said Anthony Hutchinson, EVP and Head of Public Affairs at VantageScore. “Leading lenders increasingly recognize that modern, more predictive credit scores help them make better-informed, cost-effective lending decisions while expanding access to homeownership.”

VantageScore 4.0 adoption continues to grow across the mortgage ecosystem. The VantageScore 4.0 credit scoring model is offered through Experian, Equifax and TransUnion, as well as mortgage technology providers including Xactus, Calyx and Optimal Blue. Its use in mortgage was pioneered by the Government Sponsored Enterprises (GSEs), Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, as well as the Federal Home Loan Banks, the Federal Housing Administration and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
