Consonance Capital Partners Closes Oversubscribed Third Fund at $1.35 Billion

The Fund Reached Its Hard Cap in Under Four Months, Demonstrating Significant Investor Confidence in the Firm’s Long-Term Strategy

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Consonance Capital Partners (“Consonance”), a leading U.S.-based healthcare private equity firm, today announced the closing of Consonance Private Equity III, L.P. (“Fund III”), with commitments totaling $1.35 billion.

After just under four months in the market, Consonance held its final close on Fund III at its hard cap in a heavily oversubscribed process. Consistent with its predecessor funds, Fund III will focus on investments in U.S. healthcare companies in the lower and middle market.

Commenting on the close of Fund III, the firm’s Managing Partners said:

"We are thrilled to close Fund III at its hard cap and want to thank our limited partners for their tremendous support. We also want to thank the management teams of our existing and previous portfolio companies who have been steadfast partners and major contributors to these results. We completed fundraising at a pace that reflects the confidence investors have placed in our team, strategy and results and the strength of our existing relationships. Our team remains highly focused and disciplined as we continue to partner with world-class management teams building businesses that add sustainable value to the healthcare system via a commitment to high-quality, cost-effective care."

Fund III received strong support from Consonance's existing limited partner base, while also welcoming a select group of new investors. The fund attracted a diverse global investor mix, including endowments and foundations, pension plans, and financial institutions.

Monument Group, one of the industry's leading placement agents, served as global placement agent for the Fund, while Latham & Watkins LLP served as legal counsel.
