Self-Made Entrepreneur Jack Dell Releases Debut Book of Poems, Paintings and Original Songs, Coming Home

At 78, self-taught artist shares five decades of adventures in verse, artwork and an accompanying album of original music

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--One World Associates, the strategic communications firm representing Jack Dell, today announced the release of his debut book, Coming Home, a collection of original poems and artwork accompanied by a companion album of original songs, written and performed by Dell. The book is available now in hardcover, e-book and audiobook at cominghomejackdell.com and the album is streaming on Spotify and Apple Music. A Nashville launch event is planned for October 27^th.

"This book is my ‘Coming Home’ written towards the end of a very adventurous life," said Jack Dell, who retired from day-to-day business at age 39 and has spent five decades collecting and creating personal stories, paintings and poems. Coming Home brings those life experiences together for the first time—exploring the oneness of spirit and nature, the importance of family, the costs of ambition, the mysteries of life and the power of prayer.

In 2016, Dell bought a guitar. Four years later, at 72, he moved to Nashville and began taking professional vocal lessons—another chapter in a life built on saying yes to something new, and the inspiration behind Coming Home’s companion album.

The son of a Pearl Harbor survivor and a mother who loved poetry and singing, Dell built his success working his way through high-school and college football, retail finance, managing professional boxers, riverboat casino projects, and raw land developments throughout the U.S., continually finding new ways to live his life to the fullest.
