Definian Appoints Steve Lyerly as Chief Executive Officer

Former Infocenter President and technology services executive brings proven track record of building and scaling high-growth organizations to lead Definian’s next phase of growth

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Definian, a leader in data and AI solutions and a Renovus Capital Partners portfolio company, today announced the appointment of Steve Lyerly as Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1, 2026.

Steve brings more than 20 years of experience building and scaling technology services businesses, developing go-to-market organizations, and cultivating strategic relationships across technology ecosystems. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Cloud Services at Insight Enterprises, where he led sales across the company’s Microsoft, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and ServiceNow solution lines. Prior to Insight, Steve spent seven years building and growing Infocenter, where he established the company as one of the largest and most decorated ServiceNow partners and earned three ServiceNow Partner of the Year awards. Insight Enterprises acquired Infocenter in 2024.

“Definian has built an exceptional reputation and a strong foundation in data, and I see significant opportunity to build on that foundation,” said Steve Lyerly, Chief Executive Officer of Definian. “Our clients are increasingly looking for a partner that can help them address the complexity of their data environments while also preparing for the opportunities created by AI. We will continue investing in our data and AI capabilities, expanding our partnerships across technology ecosystems, and deepening our relationships with clients to help them modernize their data environments, establish governance, and build the trusted foundations required to put AI to work. I look forward to working with the Definian and Renovus teams to accelerate this next phase of growth.”

Definian has accelerated its growth strategy through three strategic acquisitions, expanding its capabilities across data, analytics, and AI. These investments have strengthened the company’s ability to support clients across the data lifecycle while creating a broader platform for continued organic growth and additional strategic acquisitions.

“Steve has a proven track record of building and scaling technology services businesses and is exceptional at developing strategic relationships across technology ecosystems and turning those relationships into growth,” said Jane Buckley, Vice President at Renovus Capital Partners. “He built Infocenter from the ground up and established it as the leading ServiceNow partner in a highly competitive market. We are excited to have him lead Definian into its next phase of growth and believe his experience building market-leading businesses and deepening technology partnerships will be highly valuable as the company continues to expand its capabilities and strengthen its position in the market.”

Craig Wood, who previously served as Chief Executive Officer, will transition into an executive advisory role with Definian and will remain a shareholder in the company. Craig played an important role in building Definian’s foundation and advancing the company’s capabilities in data and AI, and will continue to support the business in an advisory capacity.
