KĀ‘ANAPALI, Hawaii--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Christmas morning looks a little different on Maui. This holiday season, The Westin Maui Resort & Spa, Kāʻanapali is giving families a way to trade winter weather for Kā‘anapali Beach without leaving Christmas behind. At the center of the celebration is the Mele Kalikimaka Suite Package, which transforms a one-bedroom suite in the resort’s luxury Hōkūpaʻa Tower into a private Christmas retreat, complete with a six-foot tree, shimmering lights and festive touches throughout. Available for stays Nov. 29, 2026 - Jan. 3, 2027, the suite is designed for families making Maui home for the holidays. Guests arrive to a suite dressed for Christmas, along with seasonal cookies and a holiday hot chocolate kit. The package also includes daily breakfast for four at Ulu Kitchen by award-winning Chef Peter Merriman; a $50 game card for the resort’s gaming and entertainment venue The Valley Alley; and daily access to The Lānai, Hōkūpaʻa’s exclusive lounge overlooking the Pacific.
Beyond the suite, the holiday lineup includes, a Christmas cocktail pop-up, duckpin bowling and arcade games, Breakfast at Santa’s Workshop, live music and cultural performances, a resort-wide elf hunt, and a New Year’s Eve celebration.
Santa’s Hideout Takes Over The Valley Alley
From Nov. 17 - Dec. 31, The Valley Alley will get a holiday makeover with Santa’s Hideout, pairing candy cane martinis and gingerbread lattes with duckpin bowling, arcade games and virtual reality. The holiday pop-up bar includes activities for adults and keiki under one roof.
A Maui Tree Lighting and Night Market
The season officially gets underway Nov. 27 when The Westin Maui lights its grand Christmas tree in the main lobby. The celebration continues outside on Hōkūpaʻa Lawn with an evening craft fair featuring Maui artisans and vendors from 5 to 9 p.m.
Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning with Santa
Santa arrives in Kā‘anapali on Dec. 24 for photos beside the resort’s Christmas tree, followed by a special keiki hula performance. Families can also join Breakfast at Santa’s Workshop at Hale Moʻolelo on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning, complete with a visit from Santa.
Find Kevin the Elf
Keiki can search the resort for Kevin the Elf, who will be hidden in different locations throughout the holiday season. Guests who find him can snap a photo and show it to the Front Desk to receive a special treat.
Letters to Santa
Keiki can send their holiday wish lists from Maui through a special North Pole mailbox near the Front Desk. Those who submit their letters early may even receive a response from Santa during their stay.
Holiday Treats Throughout the Resort
Guests can enjoy seasonal treats throughout the holidays, including cookies, hot cocoa, POG juice and spiced cider at Santa’s Workshop. Holiday décor will also fill the resort, from illuminated coconut trees to the grand Christmas tree in the main lobby.
Give Back to Maui
Guests can take part in the resort’s holiday toy drive by contributing toys and donations at a donation tree near the Front Desk. Donations will help provide holiday gifts for local children in need and facing adversity.
Live Holiday Entertainment
The celebrations continue after Christmas with a performance by the Kamehameha Schools Choir on Dec. 27, followed by Maui Taiko on Dec. 28, bringing the energy of Japanese taiko drumming to the resort.
One of the Country’s Final Countdowns to 2027
On New Year’s Eve, The Westin Maui will once again light up the Kāʻanapali sky with a midnight drone show as the centerpiece of its countdown to 2027. The evening begins with a live fire knife dance performance on Hōkūpaʻa Lawn at 7 p.m., followed by the resort’s New Year’s Eve party at 9 p.m. at Hale ʻA and the adult pool deck. With Hawaiʻi among the last places in the United States to ring in the new year, guests can celebrate with champagne, music and dancing before gathering for the midnight drone show.
