Wells Fargo Brings Debit Card Personalization to the Mobile App

Customers can now upload personal photos to customize debit cards directly within the Wells Fargo Mobile® app.

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Wells Fargo today announced an enhanced digital banking experience with Mobile Card Design Studio®1, giving customers the ability to personalize eligible debit cards directly within the Wells Fargo Mobile®2 app.

Customers can upload a personal photo directly from the photo library on their phone — a family moment, a beloved pet, a favorite vacation spot, a favorite memory, creating a card design that's uniquely their own.

The enhancement brings Wells Fargo's distinctive, custom design feature into the palm of customers' hands, making it faster, easier and more intuitive to create a debit card that reflects what matters most to them. Customers can upload a personal photo directly from the photo library on their phone — a family moment, a beloved pet, a favorite vacation spot, a favorite memory, creating a card design that's uniquely their own — or they can choose from a curated gallery of designs.

"For many customers, a debit card is more than a payment tool; it's something they use every day and carry everywhere," said John Durrant, head of Consumer Banking. "A personalized debit card can make everyday banking feel more meaningful. Card Design Studio helps bring that personalization into everyday banking directly through the Wells Fargo Mobile app."

Mobile Card Design Studio builds on Wells Fargo's ongoing efforts to enhance customer experiences through digital innovation and personalization. The new mobile experience simplifies the card design process, allowing customers to create, preview and submit their custom debit card design directly from their mobile device.

Across the Wells Fargo Mobile app, customers can manage everyday banking needs, including sending money, using digital wallet capabilities and getting support from Fargo®3, the company's virtual assistant. Wells Fargo also recently expanded mobile access to ExpressSend®4, allowing eligible customers to send international transfers to family and friends through the mobile app. Together, these enhancements are designed to give customers more control, more confidence and more flexibility in how they bank.
