Byos Launches Embedded Edge™, an Internal Retransmission Device, with Dell Factory Integration

Customers can now buy Dell laptops with Byos pre-installed, delivering CSfC mobile access straight out of the box

ASHBURN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Byos USA, Inc., a leading provider of hardware-enforced secure networking solutions for government, defense, and critical infrastructure, today announced the general availability of Byos Secure Embedded Edge™, which has completed Dell Technologies' Certified Factory Integration (CFI) process. Customers can now order Dell laptops with a Byos NSA Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) Retransmission Device (RD) pre-installed at the factory, ready to deploy on arrival.

In today's heightened threat environment, Retransmission Devices have become the first line of defense for End User Devices (EUDs) connecting to classified networks over public Wi-Fi. Unlike traditional software-based endpoint security, Byos Secure Embedded Edge is fully decoupled from the laptop's operating system, creating a protocol break between the EUD and the external network.

Installed in the laptop's WWAN slot, Byos Secure Embedded Edge replaces the laptop's native Wi-Fi as the sole trusted gateway for network communications, protecting users across public, home, and mission "Black" networks.
