Aptarro Launches Prism to Bring Reimbursement Intelligence to the Point of Decision and Prevent Denials Before They Happen
RemitIntel, the first product on Prism, learns from reimbursement outcomes across Aptarro’s network to surface payer behavior and stop repeat denials.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aptarro today announced Prism, its reimbursement intelligence platform, and RemitIntel, the first product built on the platform. RemitIntel is available now to provider groups, EHR and practice management partners, billing, and RCM services organizations. Additional Prism capabilities will roll out through 2027.
Prism is designed to turn decades of reimbursement signals across half a billion transactions into intelligence that gets sharper with every claim, remittance, and outcome. It brings what Aptarro’s network learns to the point of decision, inside the clinical and revenue cycle workflows teams already use — helping them see where reimbursement is at risk, know what to change, and act before preventable problems become denials.
“Every practice loses revenue to denials it could have prevented, and many can’t tell you which ones or why,” said Jeff Diamond, CEO of Aptarro. “Much of the industry learns from its own denials, one organization at a time. Prism changes the scale of that learning by connecting reimbursement signals across Aptarro’s network and bringing that experience to the decisions that matter next.”
RemitIntel — Prism’s remittance learning layer — is the first product on the platform. Revenue cycle teams can see how payers are adjudicating claims and how policies are changing across a network no single practice could see on its own. RemitIntel turns network intelligence into evidence-backed recommendations for teams to approve before moving into production within Aptarro’s flagship products, RCx and ClaimStaker. The result is a way to carry what happened on one claim into a better decision on the next, so the same denial does not happen again.
Prism delivers intelligence two ways: embedded at the point of decision inside clinical and revenue cycle software, and as Intelligence-as-a-Service for partners that want to build reimbursement capabilities into their own platforms and products. Over time, Prism will bring reimbursement intelligence to every stage of the revenue cycle, from scheduling and prior authorization through coding, claim submission, remittance and denial management.
RemitIntel is already running with pilot customers and surfacing opportunities that traditional denial reporting misses. Across all pilots, 100% of recommended signals have been validated. At Vision Innovation Partners (VIP), one of the nation’s largest ophthalmology groups, preventable denials fell 50% over six months.
“RemitIntel identifies trends in ways my own team hasn't and has given me a path to action them,” commented Duane Sheldon, Revenue Cycle Director at VIP.
Prism is built on 40 years of revenue cycle experience and fueled by more than 130,000 providers with 500 million transactions processed annually. Its proprietary data and intelligence have been built through decades of production experience with payer policy, coding and reimbursement outcomes — a depth of reimbursement intelligence that cannot be easily replicated. What happens across Aptarro’s network becomes context for the next decision, while customer data remains isolated and is never exposed to another customer. What one organization learns becomes statistical reimbursement signals for the next decision, without pooling identifiable customer data.
“We’ve been building reimbursement intelligence for 40 years,” said Diamond. “Today, Prism brings together production experience, AI, and the scale of our network so that every outcome makes the next decision smarter. The goal is simple: help providers and the partners protect more of the revenue they’ve earned, get paid faster, spend less time fixing what should have been right, and make better reimbursement decisions as the market changes.”
