Jamie Showers Joins Edgar Matthews & Co. as Managing Director and Head of Syndicate & Sales

New appointment expands Edgar Matthews’ institutional distribution and structured products syndicate capabilities

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Edgar Matthews & Co. LLC ("Edgar Matthews"), a leading independent investment bank focused on the structured finance ecosystem, today announced that Jamie Showers has joined the firm as a Managing Director and Head of Syndicate & Sales. Mr. Showers will lead Edgar Matthews’ structured products syndicate and institutional investor coverage efforts, with a particular focus on insurance companies and other institutional investors across private structured credit and asset-based finance.

The appointment establishes a dedicated syndicate function within Edgar Matthews’ capital markets platform, further integrating the firm’s structuring capabilities with institutional distribution. Mr. Showers will work across the firm’s product suite, including rated feeder funds and CFOs, fund finance, private and broadly syndicated ABS, consumer and commercial asset securitizations, asset-based lending, and other bespoke structured credit solutions.

Mr. Showers brings more than 25 years of structured products and institutional sales experience to the firm, with a career spanning traditional and esoteric ABS, RMBS, CMBS, CLOs, private credit and asset-based finance. Most recently, he served as a Managing Director at Donovan & Co., where he focused on debt capital markets, asset-based finance, private credit and esoteric ABS. Previously, he held senior structured products sales roles at Cowen, Hunt Financial Securities and Stifel Nicolaus, and trading roles at HSBC Bank and BNP Paribas, developing relationships across a broad universe of institutional investors and alternative credit markets.
