Sole Source Capital Appoints Claire Bissot as Chief Human Resources Officer

Newly created role expands SSC’s operational capabilities across talent, leadership and organizational effectiveness

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sole Source Capital LLC (“SSC”), an industrial and business services-focused private equity firm, today announced the appointment of Claire Bissot, SPHR, as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), a newly created role focused on strengthening human capital and organizational capabilities across the firm and its portfolio companies.

Bissot will serve as a member of the SSC executive leadership team, and work alongside the investment and operations teams and portfolio company management to guide the human capital strategies required to support growth. Her work will span strategic hiring, organizational design, leadership development, succession planning, retention, workforce planning, and M&A diligence and integration.

“Our portfolio companies operate in businesses where people are fundamental to performance,” said David A. Fredston, Founder and CEO of SSC. “When we invest behind a company’s growth, we are also investing in the human capital that deliver on the mission. The ability to attract great people, build stronger leaders and develop organizations that can scale have a meaningful impact on execution and value creation. Claire will help us bring greater rigor to those areas across our portfolio, while also strengthening how we evaluate human capital throughout the investment process and how we build and develop our own team at SSC.”

Bissot brings more than 20 years of human capital experience and joins SSC from Kainos Capital, where she served as Managing Director. Throughout her career, Claire has served as a strategic HR advisor and spent more than a decade with CBIZ, where she held several leadership roles, including Managing Director of its HR Outsourcing business. She holds an MBA from Virginia Tech, a BBA from the University of Georgia, and is a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

“SSC understands that as businesses grow and become more complex, their organizations have to evolve with them,” said Bissot. “That requires human capital strategies that ensure our portfolio companies and our firm have the talent, processes and resources needed to execute their strategies and support growth. It also means bringing a human capital perspective to investment decisions and how we build our businesses. By focusing more on human capital, we have another lever to improve performance, accelerate growth and build stronger businesses with lasting impact.

Bissot’s appointment further expands the SSC Way℠, SSC’s integrated approach to operational improvement and M&A throughout the investment lifecycle. In industrial and business services companies, leadership, skilled talent, management depth and organizational capacity can directly influence growth and value creation.

Dedicated human capital expertise will help SSC assess these opportunities and risks earlier, embed talent priorities into value-creation plans, and help management teams build the capabilities required to scale, strengthening execution, mitigating risk and ultimately building more valuable businesses.
