Index Industry Association Welcomes Tilt Indices as Newest Member

Strengthening collaboration and the IIA’s global voice for the index industry

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Index Industry Association (IIA), an education and advocacy organization representing independent index providers worldwide, today announced that Tilt Indices LLC has joined the association as its newest member. The addition of Tilt brings IIA’s membership to 18 firms globally.

Tilt’s addition reflects the growing breadth and diversity of the global index industry, as providers continue to expand the range of benchmarks available to investors across asset classes and markets.

“We are pleased to welcome Tilt Indices to the IIA,” said Kirsten Wegner, CEO of the Index Industry Association. “Their focus on identifying emerging investment trends and translating those insights into transparent index strategies adds to the diversity of perspectives within our membership. We look forward to having their expertise represented within the IIA and to working together on the issues that matter to the index industry and the markets it serves.”

Established in 2024, Tilt is an innovative index provider focused on developing thematic and customized indexes that reflect evolving investor interests and market trends. Leveraging technology, alternative data, and quantitative methodologies, Tilt creates investable indexes and customized strategies designed to support a range of investment applications. The firm currently offers five proprietary indexes and continues to expand its platform for index development and innovation.

“Indexing fundamentally changed investing by giving people more transparent and efficient ways to form capital and access markets,” said Andrew Peek, Founder and CEO of Tilt Indices and its parent company, Agora Intelligence. “We believe the next evolution is about building on that foundation to make index creation more flexible and accessible, giving investors increasingly precise ways to express what they believe about markets. Becoming a member of the Index Industry Association gives us the opportunity to contribute to that conversation alongside organizations that have shaped this industry.”

The IIA serves as a leading voice for the global index industry, working to educate investors, policymakers and stakeholders, advocate for sound industry standards, and foster dialogue among market participants. Its 18 members collectively administer more than three million indexes across equities, fixed income, commodities, and other asset classes, underscoring the critical role indexes play in modern financial markets.
